Biography

Steven B. Lowen was born in New York City, and is a citizen of the U.S.A. He is Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, and a member of the Brain Imaging Center and the Behavioral Psychopharmacology Research Laboratory, both at McLean Hospital. Previously, he was a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Boston University, and an Associate Research Scientist in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Columbia University . He received the BSEE magna cum laude from Yale University, and the MSEE and Ph.D. degrees from Columbia University. Dr. Lowen was awarded the Armstrong Memorial Prize from Columbia University and received a Joint Services Electronics Program Fellowship. He was awarded two Whitaker Foundation Biomedical research grants. He is a member of Sigma Xi and Tau Beta Pi .
